Downloading emails from Roundcube (Bluehost)

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to download individual email messages and entire folders from your Roundcube webmail interface on Bluehost.



Downloading individual email messages

  1. Log in to Roundcube: Access your Roundcube webmail interface through your Bluehost account.
  2. Select the email: Locate and select the email message you wish to download.
  3. Export the email: Click the "More" or "..." icon, and then select the "Download (.eml)" option from the dropdown menu.
  4. Save the file: Your browser will download the email as an .eml file. Choose a location to save the file if prompted; otherwise, check your default downloads folder.

Downloading multiple emails (as a .zip archive)

  1. Roundcube allows you to download multiple selected messages as a single compressed (.zip) file.
  2. Log in to Roundcube: Access your Roundcube webmail interface through your Bluehost account.
  3. Select the messages: Select the individual messages you want to download by clicking on them while holding down the Ctrl or Shift key (depending on your operating system).
  4. Export the emails: Click the "More" or "..." icon, and then select the "Download (.eml)" option from the dropdown menu.
  5. Save and unpack: The selected messages will be downloaded as a .zip file. You'll need to unpack the archive to access the individual .eml files.

Downloading an entire email folder (as a .zip archive)

  1. For archiving purposes, you can download all messages from a specific folder as a .zip archive.
  2. Log in to Roundcube: Access your Roundcube webmail interface through your Bluehost account.
  3. Select the folder: Switch to the folder you want to export.
  4. Download the folder: Click the gear icon (Folder Actions menu) in the folders list footer, and select "Download folder".
  5. Save and unpack: The entire folder will be downloaded as a .zip file. You will need to unpack it to access the individual .eml files.

Important notes: Roundcube downloads emails as .eml files. These files can be opened in various email clients or text editors.
